How do I Sign Up?

1. 1. To sign up for WifiFriends click on the Sign Up For Free icon on the WifiFriends homepage.
2. 2. You will then be brought to the WifiFriends Registration page
3. 3. Choose a user name that best represents you
4. 4. Choose a password that you can remember. (WifiFriends recommends mixing numbers and letters to make it uncrackable)
5. 5. Type in an email address. (This is where WifiFriends will send the email confirmation of your registration)
6. 6. Next type in a referral name if any of your friends, family or a WifiFriends representative has sent you to use WifiFriends.
7. 7. Now choose an area in which you wish to be associated with! (Unless you are a VIP member, you will be confined to the group that you choose at registration, so be sure to choose the area in which you want)
8. 8. Next, click the register button and check your email address that you left in step 5. (Be sure to check your spam folder if it hasn’t arrived in your inbox)
9. 9. Open the email and follow the steps!
10. 10. Congratulations! You are now part of one of the best and fastest growing networking sites!

How can I tell if there is anyone in my area?

1. Once you sign into WifiFriends with your username and password, you will instantly be logged onto the home page.
2. The home page will identify anyone that is the same area as you under the my neighbors title and you will be able to interact with them using WifiFriends features.

What is the Stealth Button for?

1. The Stealth Button allows you to not be seen for a total of 15 minutes while in a certain location.
2. This will allow you to survey the scene before letting everyone else know you are there.
3. This mode can be utilized in the VIP area!

How do I add information to my profile?

1. Login into WifiFriends with your username and password.
2. Click on the WifiFriends link
3. Click the green "My Profile" tab and from there you will have all the access to update and maintain your profile.
4. Remember to save all of your information!
5. If you are a VIP member you will see multiple profiles to add. (This is just one more perk to being a VIP member with WifiFriends)

How do I add friends?

1. To add a friend, just simply click on a member’s profile who is in the same area as you and click the green friend button below their picture.
2. Doing this will allow you to keep in contact with them after you leave the place you are in and contact them with messages later.

How do I block a user?

1. Go to the users profile and under their picture will be a block button.
2. Click this button and they will never see you again!
3. If you have a change of heart! Just go to the orange "My Contacts" tab and under the Blocked users list, find the user you want to unblock and click "Unblock".
4. Remember to save all of your information!
5. If you are a VIP member you will see multiple profiles to add. (This is just one more perk to being a VIP member with WifiFriends)

How do I send and receive message?

1. To send a message to a user that is in the same area as you, just click on their profile, and click “Chat” under their profile picture.
2. To send a message to a user while not in the same area you must be their friend.
3. To receive a message, just simply sign in and click WifiFriends.
4. Under the blue “My Messages” tab there will be a notification pop up if you have received new message.
5. Just click that to review and check messages

How do I post a picture to my WifiFriends account?

1. It’s easy! Just follow these simple steps and you will be able to show off your picture to other WifiFriends users!
   Note: Internet Explorer for Windows requires version 8 or higher.
2. 1. You will want to sign in with your WifiFriends account name and password.
3. 2. At the home screen, click on the My Profile link.
4. 3. From the colored tabs, click on the blue shaded myPhotos tab.
5. 4. After clicking the myPhotos tab, you will see a choose file link. Click this link and you will be able to upload any picture of your choice. (Remember! Choose a head shot and a photo that is no bigger than 5 MB).
6. 5. After choosing your photo, you will be able to use our cropping tool! Crop the picture to the appropriate size. (The crop tool will appear on the top left corner of the photo. You can stretch, fit and skew your photo to get the best head shot possible).
7. 6. After cropping your photo, you can now click on the saved cropped button located just under the picture. (This will be your default picture) To add more photos, join VIP!
8. 7.Once you have saved your default photo you are now able to be seen by all other WifiFriends users in your area! So what are you waiting for? Get out there and be seen!

How do I make it so I can't be seen by anyone else?

WifiFriends offers an upgrade package for 1.99 to get stealth mode. Stealth mode allows you to see the people around you in any given location that has Wifi for up to 15 minutes. To upgrade just simply log into your WifiFriends account using your username and password. You will be directed to the homepage and just under where your picture should be will be a link titled “Get Stealthy”. Click on the link and follow the directions provided by Paypal and you will instantly now be able to be unseen in a bar, night club, coffee shop, etc. (Remember you must be updated to internet explorer 8.0) Once you have set up the payment method through Paypal, you will see an icon on the top right of the screen that will say Stealth Mode, you can click that on or off at your disclosure. (At sign in stealth mode will always be on, so remember if you want to be seen don’t forget to take stealth mode off)

I have sent and received a couple of messages but why can’t I go back and see them?

With the basic WifiFriends sign up, you will be able to connect with other WifiFriends users, but you will need to be a WifiFriends VIP Membership to view sent and received messages. This is just one of the many perks you will gain if you become a VIP Member. It costs 4.99/Month and allows you access to many other areas.

How do I sign up for The VIP Membership?

Just like signing up for Stealth Mode you will want to sign into your WifiFriends account. Upon sign in you will see a link titled “Join VIP”on the left side of the screen. Click the link and follow the payment methods to enjoy all of the advantages of being a VIP Member!
